Design has been woven through her life from an early age. She creates art not simply to make a living, but as an essential way to live fully and meaningfully.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Sandra studied in the United States during her teens and has lived and worked in the USA, Brazil, Cambodia, and Indonesia. Now a New Zealand citizen, she considers Aotearoa her home. She is deeply in love with New Zealand nature and seeks to express her unique perspective of this place through her art.
With a background in Art, Education, and Industrial Design, Sandra has always carried a deep passion for creativity. Her journey, shaped by diverse cultural experiences and global professional work, has led her to embrace painting as a way to cope with, understand, and interact with the world around her, and as a means to connect with her Creator.
